The Passion of the Christ and its re-enactments are one of the most well known phenomena of The Philippines, but the Cutud Lenten Rites Festival takes things to a whole new level with the penitents not only flagellating themselves, but finishing off with crucifixion. This is the most sought after and popular event in the whole Philippines during Easter, an extremely memorable experience.
The day starts with us leaving Manila at 5 am to get to the festivities with us providing breakfast, VIP lunch, media accreditation, and all relevant donations and fees, and premium access for the duration of the event. This will be our fourth year, providing access to the Cutud Lenten Rites festival, and no company offers the same access, ease and service that we do.
At 5 am we join our private air-conditioned vehicle for the rest of our journey, a 2-hour drive to the San Fernando Area of Pampanga, stopping for breakfast on the way.
On arrival we head straight out for the Cutud Lenten Rites festival, one of the biggest and most spectacular festivals in the Philippines. We follow all the action as the participants have crosses nailed to them and head up the hill in their full glory until their 3pm Crucifixion. We will be arranging official accreditation and passes to give us some of the best positions available for unfettered photography
Picnic lunch
Following the end of proceedings we head into San Fernando for a city tour before returning to Angeles City to check into our hotel (those returning to Manila will leave the group here)
Angeles City is renowned as the party and culinary capital of the Philippines, so we head out for dinner and drinks on Fields Avenue.
