Become one of the very first tourists ever to cross the international border between the Solomon Islands and Bougainville (Papua New Guinea), as well as sample some of the most amazing islands, beaches and culture that the region has to offer.
Your tour with us starts in Honiara – the capital of Solomon Islands where you’ll visit all the must-see sights such as the markets, snorkelling with Japanese War wrecks and mingling with the locals.
We then board a domestic flight to Gizo Island – where one of the most beautiful beaches, incredible island hopping, and isolated snorkelling areas of the Solomon Islands.
On our return to Honiara, we’ll board a flight to Balalae, the international border town with Papua New Guinea. From here we’ll board a boat to Bougainville. We will be the first tourist group to have crossed this border since its very recent opening to tourism.
Once in Bougainville you’ll sample and explore everything this unique spot has to offer involving more island hopping, singing, dancing and the infamous crash site of Yamamoto from WWII.
We then head to Rabaul and New Britain, what we consider to be the most beautiful part of Papua New Guinea with stunning beaches, islands and a treasure trove with WWII relics. The tour will then conclude with a day tour of Port Moresby – the capital of PNG.
