Day 1: Monday – Hanoi Arrival

Morning

  • Arrive at Noi Bai International Airport and meet your driver for a transfer to Hanoi city (approximately 45 minutes).
  • Visit West Lake and Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of Vietnam’s oldest and most picturesque Buddhist sites.

Afternoon

  • Explore the Vietnam Ethnology Museum to learn about Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups (substituted by the Women’s Museum on Mondays).
  • Drive past key landmarks, including Hoan Kiem Lake, Te Huc Bridge, Ly Thai To Monument, and St Joseph Cathedral.
  • Spend free time shopping at Trang Tien Plaza or the Night Market (available Friday to Sunday).
  • Conclude the day with a Water Puppetry Show, a fascinating traditional art form.
  • Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2: Tuesday – Hanoi to Glass Bridge to Sapa

Morning

  • Breakfast at accommodation.
  • Transfer to Sapa, a mountainous region with stunning landscapes, fresh air, and a rich cultural heritage of ethnic tribes such as the Black H’Mong, Red Dzao, and Tay.
  • Pause for lunch at a local restaurant en route.

Afternoon

  • Visit the Sapa Glass Bridge (Dragon in Cloud Glass Bridge) at O Quy Ho Pass. Marvel at breathtaking views from 500m above the Hoang Lien Son Mountain cliffs and capture stunning panoramic photos.
  • Continue to Sapa town for check-in and relaxation.
  • Dinner and overnight in Sapa.

Day 3: Wednesday – Sapa: Cat Cat Village & Ham Rong Mountain

Morning

  • Breakfast at accommodation.
  • Visit Cat Cat Village, home to the Hmong ethnic minority. Learn about traditional crafts such as brocade weaving and silver smithing, and see the remains of a French-built hydroelectric power station near a picturesque waterfall.

Afternoon

  • Explore Ham Rong Mountain, renowned for its vibrant flowers and stunning views of Sapa.
  • Spend free time shopping at the Night Market or visiting the Stone Church.
  • Dinner and overnight in Sapa.

Day 4: Thursday – Sapa: Fansipan to Hanoi

Morning

  • Breakfast at accommodation.
  • Ascend Fansipan Mountain, the “Roof of Indochina,” via cable car. Enjoy incredible vistas from the summit at 3,143m, a dream destination for climbers and nature enthusiasts.
  • Capture photos and savour the awe-inspiring scenery before descending by cable car.

Afternoon

  • Transfer back to Hanoi, enjoying the scenic journey.
  • Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 5: Friday – Hanoi to Halong Bay

Morning

  • Breakfast at accommodation.
  • Depart for Halong Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on a 3.5-hour drive through the Vietnamese countryside.
  • Board a traditional wooden junk boat to explore Halong Bay’s highlights, including Thien Cung Cave, Dog Island, Ga Choi, and Sail Islands.

Afternoon

  • Relish a seafood lunch onboard while cruising. After a 4-hour cruise, disembark and return to Hanoi.
  • Dinner and overnight in Hanoi.

Day 6: Saturday – Hanoi Departure

Morning

  • Breakfast at accommodation.
  • Enjoy free time for shopping or exploring Hanoi’s local life.
  • Transfer to Noi Bai International Airport for your departure or connect to further YPT tours.
