As most of you will be aware by now, Covid-19, the coronavirus originating in China, is spreading to other parts of the world.
The World Health Organisation have stated that it is particularly a concern that it affects countries whose medical facilities are not equipped to cope with a large number of cases.
North Korea has already closed its borders completely to prevent the spread of the virus in the DPRK, and Turkmenistan has announced quarantine measures in place for visitors arriving in March.
There are now confirmed cases in Afghanistan, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iraq amongst others and confirmed cases and deaths in Iran centred around the city of Qom, a city 75km from Tehran.
YPT has tours to all of these countries coming up in March and April and we remain in constant contact with our local partners on the ground and will give a general update if and when there is any news, and a specific update to anyone booked on a tour.
Our tours remain open to bookings and if a tour is affected then we are able to move you to a future tour or a tour to a different location or offer a full refund minus associated costs as per the normal procedure in case of force majeure in our terms and conditions.
If you are booked on one of our tours or are in the process of booking or have any general queries then as always please get in touch with us.
