YPT tours to Micronesia

YPT are proud to announce our 2025 and 2026 Micronesia tours. It is a captivating destination with a rich historical background, having established a unique relationship with the United States as a freely associated state. This status, formalized in 1986 under the Compact of Free Association, allows FSM to maintain its sovereignty while benefiting from U.S. financial assistance, defense, and access to certain federal programs. This partnership has fostered development and connectivity, making FSM an intriguing blend of indigenous culture and modern influences. As you explore the islands, you’ll encounter remnants of this history, from World War II sites to the enduring presence of American culture alongside traditional Micronesian customs.

Comprising four distinct states – Yap, Chuuk, Pohnpei, and Kosrae – FSM showcases a diversity of cultures, languages, and landscapes that are not to be confused with the larger region of Micronesia. Each state has its own unique identity and historical significance. Yap is renowned for its traditional stone money and rich cultural heritage, while Chuuk is famous for its spectacular wreck diving sites, remnants of naval battles from the Second World War. Pohnpei, home to the ancient city of Nan Madol, offers a glimpse into the region’s mystical past, while Kosrae boasts lush rainforests and pristine coral reefs, providing a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation.

Choosing to explore the Federated States of Micronesia means immersing yourself in a mix of history, culture, and natural beauty. Our group and solo Micronesia tour packages ensure that you experience the rich heritage and welcoming spirit of the Micronesian people.
