How To Get a Visa for Nauru

YPT’s inaugural Least Visited Countries tour was a great success. We visit 3 of the 15 least visited countries in the world – the Marshall Islands, Kiribati, and the Solomon Islands.

But more importantly, we spend New Year’s Eve on Nauru – the number one least visited country in the whole world, with under 200 tourists visiting every year!

For most nationalities, entry to the Marshall Islands, Kiribati, and the Solomon Islands are either visa-free or visa on arrival, nice and straightforward. But Nauru can be a pain.

But, the Nauruan visa is probably one of the easiest visas you will ever get.

Why?

Because here at YPT, we do all the work!

visa

What do you need to get the visa?

  • a filled in Nauru visa form
  • a copy of your passport
  • a passport photo with a white background
  • a hotel reservation
  • copies of your flights to and from Nauru as well as any other Pacific islands you are visiting
  • a certificate of employment
  • a letter of invitation from a Nauruan citizen (for Australian and New Zealand passports only)

Do I need to send in my actual passport?

Nope, just a copy. When you have all the correct documents you send them straight to Nauru’s Department of Justice and Border Control. They will then email you a copy of your visa certificate which is enough to gain entry to the country.

Will my passport be stamped when I enter Nauru?

Yes, once it is all organized you just get on the plane and when you get there they’ll give you a stamp in your passport!

How much does it cost?

It simply costs $50 AUD

How do I sign up?

If you want to make life easier and come with YPT on our Least Visited Countries Tour in for the new year and then simply email tours@youngpioneertours.com and our sales agent will send you all the documentation.
