As well as our tours around this big small planet of ours, we also have a great little bar in Yangshuo, Southern China. The DMZ bar opened in June 2013 as the worlds only North Korea travel themed bar, and also a regional booking office for our travel agency. Over time, we have also used it as a way of bringing people into the YPT fold. We offer both summer internships, as well as long term internships working for both the bar and YPT. This usually consist of working part-time for YPT whilst also covering bar shifts in Yangshuo. Jobs can be shared depending on your main areas of interest.
There are no specific qualifications you need, but knowledge of Web design/Wordpress is definitely an advantage. Having visited North Korea before is also a plus. We have different positions available:
Bar Intern
Working as a day and nightshift bartender. We offer a decent salary, free accommodation and great nights at the coolest bar in Yangshuo.
YPT Interns
Predominantly working for Young Pioneer Tours, but based from Yangshuo. We offer a living wage as well as free accommodation, heavily subsidized drinks and the coolest bar in Yangshuo.
Full time internships
Working part-time for the bar and part time doing logistical work for Young Pioneer Tours. Although based at our bar in Yangshuo, you will be working towards being trained as a guide and eventually moving into a full time position in our Beijing office.
