How to Get to North Ossetia
By Air
The easiest way to reach North Ossetia is by flying into Vladikavkaz International Airport, which has connections to major Russian cities like Moscow and Saint Petersburg. Flights from Moscow take approximately two hours and are relatively affordable, especially with budget airlines like Pobeda.
By Train
For those who prefer a slower, scenic route, Russian Railways operates trains to Vladikavkaz from Moscow and other cities. The journey takes about 30 hours from Moscow, offering stunning views of the Caucasus foothills as you approach.

By Road
If you’re already in the Caucasus region, you can drive or take a marshrutka (shared minibus) to Vladikavkaz from neighboring republics like Chechnya or Kabardino-Balkaria.
