Safari to Nimule National Park

South Sudan is mostly famous for the melting-pot of ethnicity it is made of. It is, however, also a great location for those in search of a safari on the wilder side of the spectrum. Nimule National Park, founded during the British rule,  is a very interesting location at the south of South Sudan, right by the border to Uganda. It is mostly famous for its rivers and herds of elephants. We offer an extension on all our tours of South Sudan to visit Nimule National Park before leaving the country.  

Day One – Juba (Dinner Included)

  • Arrival in Juba with a morning flight from Addis or Nairobi
  • Our guide will be there to assist you with immigration from your arrival.
  • We will make a short city tour of Juba before we leave it, going to the Presidential House, the city square and John Garang Mausoleum
  • Before we leave Juba, we stop for lunch
  • Transfer from Juba to Nimule National Park
  • Overnight in National Park ranger accommodation

Day Two – Nimule (Breakfast, lunch and dinner included)

  • Today, we will spend a whole day going around for a safari in Nimule national park with rangers
  • In the afternoon, we will go on a boat trip along rivers to view elephants refreshing themselves
  • Overnight in National Park ranger accommodation

Day Three – Juba (Breakfast and lunch included)

  • Transfer early from Nimule to Juba
  • On our way back to Juba, we’ll stop to a Dinka village and cattle camp along the way. The Dinka are the most populous ethnicity of South Sudan and spearheaded the independence movement in the country.
  • Evening flight from Juba to Addis Ababa or Nairobi
