Join us as we embark on one of the most adventurous tours of the year to North Korea. We’ve specifically designed this tour to give you the best opportunity to not only explore the less-visited sights of the east coast but to also grant you a glimpse of everyday life in North Korea. This tour will also cover all celebrations that’ll take place for National Day which includes mass dancing, fireworks or any other events.
One of the other major highlights of the tour is having a unique insight with exploring 13 out of the 16 mysterious Pyongyang metro stations that are sprawled 100 metres underneath the capital on both line 1 and 2! You’ll also be visiting famous sights of Pyongyang such as the mausoleum where Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il lay in state, the Korean War Museum, Kim Il Sung Square, tower of the Juche ideology, a local North Korean department store, and more!
Next you’ll visit one of the most “tenses places on Earth”, the DMZ. Here we’ll meet our local military officer as he’ll show us the JSA, Panmunjom Village, and the division of North and South Korea. We’ll then be upgraded to a Colonel officer who’ll take us further inland to visit the Concreate Wall – this will give you a great glimpse at the wall which was erected by the South Koreans during the 70’s. We can even see South Korean watchtowers along the hill from the DPRK post
You’ll then move deeper into the unseen parts of the country as we’ll make our way to Hamhung city, the second-largest city of the DPRK. Here we’ll inspect the east coast’s largest fertilizer factory and some of the UNESCO heritage sights surrounding the outskirts. During our visit to Hamhung, we’ll stay at the Majon Resort on a gorgeous beach located at the foot of your own private villa.
Onwards you’ll drop down to the gorgeous sunny city of Wonsan. This is a very popular holiday destination for Koreans all over the DPRK. Here we’ll try the very fresh and delicious seafood caught along the pier and to spend a special afternoon kicking a football around, playing frisbee and swimming with the locals on the beach. You’ll also have time to explore the newly renovated International Children’s Summer Camp and nearby revolutionary sites.
The Mass Games, the world’s largest performance with over 100,000 performers is expected to take place during this tour! Now is your chance to watch this grand spectacular performance. Tickets are on-top of tour cost and is paid in cash during your tour in Pyongyang. We highly recommend securing your spot on tour early as we expect spaces to fill up very quickly.
