The new Syria transitional government has announced, on February 21st 2025 new Syria visa cost for tourists visiting Syria for transit, 15 days and 3 month visits. The new pricing and group system aims to help rebuild the Syrian economy which has suffered immensely over the past 14 years.
The new visa pricing system is set to be in effect immediately from the Damascus International Airport. There are 10 different groups which have different visa costs associated:

When Will The New Syria Visa Prices Come Into Effect?
These new visa prices will come into effect immediately through Damascus International Airport. It is likely that the visa system may take some extra days to come into place at the land borders.

Payment can be made in USD cash. Please ensure your notes are crisp and clean, without stains, rips or markings.
Are There Any Nationalities That Cannot Travel To Syria?
Iranian and Israeli citizens are not permitted for travel to Syria. If you travel despite the risks, you will be rejected and will face deportation and possible imprisonment.
Which Entry Points Can Foreigners Use To Visit Syria?
Foreigners can enter via land border with Jordan and Lebanon, as well as via Damascus International Airport. However, passengers traveling alone are likely to be rejected boarding if their flight destination is Damascus without any permissions. We can provide the necessary permissions to allow you to board a flight to Damascus.
- Lebanese Borders: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Masnaa–Jdeideh crossing. Other borders are closed for travel
- Jordanian Borders: 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM. The Naseeb-Jaber border

- Qatar Airways: Flights operate Monday, Friday and Saturday to and from Doha
- Turkish Airlines: Flights operate Tuesdays, Thursdays, Sundays to and from Istanbul
- Royal Jordanian Airlines: Flights operate daily from Amman

When entering Syria, it is important to dress modestly, even more than if you traveled in the last 10 years. Recently, foreigners have been turned away for wearing shorts and having exposed tattoos. It is important that both male and females cover their full legs, chest, shoulders and it is better if females cover their arms. Avoiding tight clothes, sheer clothes and clothing with offensive or political graphics.
